The city of Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, the third largest in the UK and a great place to start your Scotland tours. Glasgow offers something for everyone from fun at the Glasgow Comedy festival to the sophisticated at Kings theatre Glasgow.

Many of the sculptures depict something relating to the life of the person buried below. The most striking monument is at the very top of the hill, the huge monument to John Knox. The fun continues off the ship as well, with a dockside area that is set out to let you play some traditional games that would have been very popular in times gone by. You should look for the Pre-5 area too if you have younger children, since this is aimed at them. As you can see this provides a great way to wear out the kids and entertain the whole family at the same time.

But my top ten above is just a start for you to consider. If you're thinking of coming over here to spend a week or so on vacation, sprinkle these in between going to a Celtic or Rangers football game at the weekend (where you'll begin to understand what really drives Glasgow's culture), dine at one of the many famous restaurants dotted around the City Centre and the West End, lose your inhibitions in the welcome atmosphere of whatever pub and club tickles your fancy, and then drop like a spent cabbage onto your pillow in one of Glasgow's world renown hotels.
